Everyone likes the 1/3 auto insurance premium (100million), abusive driver fees (50-100million) and auto registration fees (100 million)
Diesel fuel tax (20 million) and borrowing 2 billion comes from the old Republican plan
So really the plans are fairly similar the main senate tweak is to move 66 million from the general fund instead of 250 or 0 and generate some amount of money from the gas tax. As of tonight I can’t find a good source saying how much money would be generated from the gas tax.
For the regional plans the grantors tax and hotel/car rental tax stay and the commercial real estate tax/drivers license fee is replaced by a sales tax (Sales tax didn’t work too well last time and I wonder if perhaps the real estate lobby has some influence)
